Thanks, guy...look forward to reading it sometime soon.

Here's something that's even more exciting to me...

A little background: A few years ago an original cover painting come up for bid on eBay, and sat unsold at $799 for several weeks. I wanted it so much, but couldn't pull the trigger on something that frivolous and of that expense at the time. I still remember it, though, and still regret my passing on it, though agree w/ my decision at the time. So I've kept an eye out for the UK paperback that featured it ever since, but all copies are either way too expensive or too beat up...I finally found a copy that is in like-new condition and at a steal of a deal. It's today's Showcase Book:

Yes, I've nothing negative at all to say about Barry personally...I've been dealing with him for many, many years with any problem at all and find him personable and accomodating. I just wish his recent releases were more reflective of the quality Gauntlet used to produce, that's all.

I bought the "Legend Trilogy" by Marie Lu, the three lettered editions at half-price. Very satisfied. They run many newsletter sales so it does pay to sign up and it's free.

When a publisher scrimps on one or more of these assets, they are subverting the entire purpose of — and buyer’s incentive for — a limited edition.

Bingo on both points. Really disappointing, too, as I was really looking forward to that set...what missed potential.
