Well I see a lot of people doing the "+1" thing, so I decided to let you actually do that. I have enabled the user reputation system. Now if there's a post you like there is a little button at the bottom of it so that you can add reputation to that post / poster. Please don't abuse the system or I will have to take it away. Happy Forum Posting!

Now would this be inspired by my latest comment in a previous thread? :)

I approve! As always! :)

Dan, Any chance you might set the Avatars to appear a little larger? They are tiny on my laptop computers. Thanks for your consideration.

Added a new feature today. Up at the top you will now see a "My Mood" drop down menu. Allowing you to change your "Mood". As you can see I am now "Dead" to go along with my zombie avatar. :p

It's one of those fast zombies from the Dawn remake.

The fastest zombie I remember seeing is the one that got it's legs shot off at he knees and then sprinted on it's knubs in Return of the Living Dead.

I took me a moment to figure out how to get the slist to stop disappearing before I could select something.

D'oh!

Also it's only an inch and a half tall, so if it's ever going to get anywhere it has to move fast.

I'm liking this mood menu! It's giving me 70s flashbacks!

I like it too, but I'm sure the novelty will wear off.

I look at the point gain for each one and try to guess who did it! 10, 6, and 4 are pretty easy. 1 and 2 are tougher. But thanks to all!

Ok, now you lost me. Where does it say how much each rep up was worth?

srboone
03-16-2012, 08:19 PM
Rep power. Dan's is 10, Grant's and mine are worth 6, Sieps is worth 4. Your's and quite a few others' is 2.:)

Dan Hocker

So 10 plus 6 is 16 so she is still at 1.Should be 17.Who -16nd her?????.I still think she has a good rep;)

srboone
03-16-2012, 08:36 PM
But her rep went up by 16. Only she can see what her rep points are. But I think her Rep Power will go up 1 at 500 posts.

PHew, thought I was getting a bad rep for complaining. haha...mostly about being poor and how slow USPS is.

Dan Hocker

Here I'll list them off.

You get 1 point of rep power for every year you've been a forum member.

You get 1 point of rep power for every 500 posts you make.

You get 1 point of rep power for every 100 rep points you receive.

Here's a couple other rules:

You have to have a reputation of 10 before rep you give others actually counts.

You can only give rep 10 times per day.

You have to give rep to 3 different people before you can give someone rep again.

Teriw

So All of the reps I have given don't count for anything? and most peoples actually

No they do. Rep Power and Rep aren't the same thing. Rep power is the ammount of rep points you give out every time you give / take away rep from someone. To view the number of rep points you have click settings up at the top.

If you click settings up top, it will tell you how many rep points you have. If it's over 10 (which it is as you just recieved 16 points from Squire and I) all the rep you've given out to this date actually counts now. If it's below 10 it won't count until it goes above 10.

Teriw

Teriw

I think we misunderstood each other. I wasn't confused on rep power and how much each person has. From what I understood of your post I quoted you on, "I look at the point gain for each one and try to guess who did it! 10, 6, and 4 are pretty easy. 1 and 2 are tougher." was that somewhere in settings where it shows the thread you received rep in, you can see the rep power next to the post, hence your ability to guess who gave it out.

I wonder if it's my super admin powers, but I can see who gave me rep and what thread / post it was for.

TerryE

I can see which post I got it for, but not who gave it. Sometimes it's easy to figure out.

Dan Hocker

Found the setting, now you can see who left you what reputation. If you are a member of the "Veteran" usergroup, which most of you are.
