Maybe it's about time I started one of these threads. The first 2 are books I just got today and yesterday.

First up is "After the Burn" by the wonderful Ron Kelly and he so graciously did a remarque for me, it's my second one.

1536

Secondly is the manuscript for "The Book of Souls" by Jack Ketchum. Now I just need to make a trip to Staples and buy one of those nice presentation binder thingies.

What the?! Apparently I still need work at this since some of my pics posted upside down. Oh well...

AtB is my first introduction to Ron other than the 9/11 story. I'm already about halfway through the first story but probably won't get another chance to read before Sunday.

Here's the physical cd collection, totaling around 1200.
1676
1677

The bottom shelves are music related dvd's.
1678

Not sure if you can see it but on top of the first bookcase there is a black metal box with about 200 burned albums in it. Then I also have a 500gb hard drive full of random stuff.

jester05jk
11-07-2011, 01:51 AM
I don't have a lot of space to show off but this is the "read" bookcase that I've deemed worthy enough to be reread and the bottom half is, once again, all music related.
1679

Top shelf is Koontz pb's, a few of the early sci-fi works then the rest are manga. Mostly Neon Gen, Cowboy Bebop, Rouroni Kenshin, Vampire Hunter D(novels too), and Hellsing.
1680

Trading card sets that I was able to get the collectible binders for too. Artists, comics, a few tv/movie sets
1681

jester05jk
11-07-2011, 01:53 AM
Rainforest books and the complete Far Side, too big for any shelf.

1682

A mixture of rainforest, space, art, and art calendars. There's Wrightson's Frankenstein in there and then stuff by Boris, Frazetta, Linsner, and Giger.
1683

It doesn't look like much but it's organized to me. All animal books, mainly wolves nad reptiles I've owned or want to own.

Yea, my short term memory isn't up to par with everything else. If I take pictures I have to post them right away or they'll stay on my phone for months before I remember about them. It seems like most of the games yesterday were dismal first halfs and all the excitement coming in the 4th. I'm not liking the Eagles game currently.

I think I see the product of one our latest grab bags in one of those pictures...

Edit: I love the comics by the way. I too am a collector of comics, mostly Hellboy / anything related to Hellboy at the moment, but am contemplating expanding into Batman. Although I've been a bit side tracked by Terry Brooks 1st editions lately.

jester05jk

The only Batman comics I have are the Frank Miller set, Wrightson set, and Bisley Batman/Judge Dredd crossovers.

And yes there was a grab bag in there. I only didn't have "Riding the Bullet" but "Shivers" is an upgrade from pb to hb so I still count it as a win.

I feel as if everyone here has acquired Teri's hate but me. Well, it's been a while since I posted and it's about time. Here's a random little book I have laying around. Like I said before, I acquired an ex-g/f's moms book collection and it had about 5 signed books in it. I kept one for myself and traded the other signed ones to my dad for his regular copies. I'll get them back some day down the line...

72647265

Now there's 2 funny stories that go along with this...
1- My dad is actually the person that got Stephen King to come to Baltimore for the sci-fi convention or whatever it was back then, before my time.
2- My mom and stepdad are also named Lynn and Tom.

This is the first edition identifiers for Salem's Lot from King's website.

"First Edition" on CP Q37 on page 439
Three dust jacket states:
1) $8.95 on DJ, Father Cody error (rare!)
2) price clipped, $7.95, Father Cody error
3) $7.95 on DJ, Father Callahan

The father cody error is on the dust jacket flap. It says Father Cody instead of Father Callahan

The little guy wants to go this year, so I'll end up going both days. One with him, and one alone. As I've been moving the collection, I've been organizing the boxes and pulling out stuff to take this year. It's quite a pile with so many great guests, so now I have to whittle it down. There've been several cancellations which, unfortunately, made that job a little quicker. Sad about Joe Kubert passing away, so his sons won't be there either. And I just notice Keith Giffen had to cancel, too. And I had quite a pile of his stuff. I'll definitely be updating my collection thread in the next couple weeks to show everything.

The Nirvana book is pretty cool. Has a slipcase and all these extra half pages that store stuff, like replica concert tickets, posters, backstage passes, setlists, etc..

I saw the Walking Dead set while out shopping. Cool set.
Haven't added a whole lot of books lately, comics maybe I'll get back to adding one day. Here's all the books since last time, with a few extras thrown in.

Hopefully updates will be coming very sooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnn.

I started taking some pics, but still have about 10 books to do, ARCs, mags, and comics might still be waiting. I have about a box and half from Diamond to organize still.
