In case you didn't get one of Deena Warner's legendary Halloween cards in your mailbox this year, I had the honor and priviledge of writing the story for it.

Head on over to RonaldKelly.com come and catch "The Halloween Train". All Aboard, y'all!

That's fantastic. I love those short stories that leave you wondering...I'm also curious like Mr. Terry how we get on this list. Thanks for sharing and Happy Halloween.

go Deena Warner's website and leave a message for her to get on it. I don't know what it costs. she hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Thanks. Somehow I consistently forget that you can type (practically) anything into a search engine and get an answer. I guess I've finally turned into an old fogey.

Same here, cope! You're not alone. I sent in address and she said she'd send me one, it just won't be numbered. But it will be next year!

Lucky bugger.

Go to her website asn ask her to send you one (if sh still has them)--they're free and you can get on her card list for next year. She's in VA.

I really enjoyed it! Too bad it isn't part of a longer tale.

"The Halloween Train" is only the third short-short story I've written during my career. The first was "Papa's Exile" way back in 1988 in Deathrealm Magazine, and the second was "Woodshed", which I hand-wrote in the inside cover of a hc edition of Cemetery Dance Magazine #50 for one lucky (?) customer. "Woodshed" can also be found in my e-book collection of horror/suspense stories, UNHINGED: TALES OF DARKNESS & DEPRAVITY.
