Forum Downtime and Roll Back

As you may have noticed the forums were down this morning. You may also have noticed a bit of a roll back on the forums by about two days. We had a minor breach in security in regards to the forum software, which has since been resolved. We have been assured by the hosting company that no vital information has been accessed and this only affected the forum software and no other aspect of the Cemetery Dance website. (Also, as a reminder, we never store your payment information anywhere on the server.)

We would recommend that you reset and change your forum password just as a precautionary measure. Again, no sensitive information has been accessed, this is just a precautionary measure we'd recommend to anyone whenever something like this happens anywhere.

We are going through with an upgrade from vBulletin 4 to vBulletin 5 which will entail some more down time as well, probably later today. This will be a pretty large overhaul for the forums and their functionality. I look forward to trying it out as most sites are still on 4.

That's a big time bummer. I saw the page after it had been hacked. Sad to think their entire purpose was only to pop up a message that they had succeeded. Golf clap for stupid hackers?

Is the update done? Is it why Whats new now has a weird thing going on that I don't like? lol. Not that Whats new has worked properly in the last 6 months anyway.

Also, I dont remember anything from the last two days other than OY. Anyone have something they want to restate that was "Important"?
