Actors, writers and other so called "celebreties" make up personal tragedies that supposedly took place when they were children or young adults just to try and make the public say, "Wow, look what he was able to overcome and still be such a success!!"?
I don't know how you'd actually prove King's first novel was thrown in the trash and his wife retreived it saying send this story in, it's so good. And of course, the rest is history. Oprah Winfrey and Roseanne Barr saying things like they were abused when children, and so many others. It just seems to me that it's too convenient of a story. Their egos must have something to invent that again, look what I've overcome! I just don't believe it. It's been way too common for the past 20 years or so.
