Wow - this looks tempting. Having never read anything by him, plus the basis of the story.

I was introduced to RH through CD also, but through his two anthologies Bedbugs and Occasional Demons. I really like his style, but am on the fence about this one. I have the ERC coupon which expires this friday, and I have so many choices!

This is a GREAT story, and it stuck with me well after I finished it.

I do hope to get this at some point, but since I could only do this or Brian's boook, this one lost out

Received my copy in Australia yesterday, all well with the packaging. One thing I found on first look through the book, not sure if it is the design or an error, is the limitation page is upside down. First thought was the dust jacket was back to front but it was just the one page.

Probably just an error in that particular book. If you email Mindy we can send you a replacement or something along those lines. It happens sometimes, it's something that we sometimes miss when books aren't hand numbered.

Thanks for the response, I am not too concerned about the error, makes it a little different.

R.I.P. Rick Hautala. The news comes as a real shocker. I don't know which thread to post this and this one seems the most appropriate. If it wasn't for the PS Pub newsletter and Peter Crowther's blog, wouldn't even have known about this. Alas, we've lost another great writer and talent in the genre

In other sad news from the PS Pub newsletter, British horror writer James Herbert has also passed on

Yes, it's been a very bad week for horror. First Dave Silva, then James Herbert, and now Rick Hautala. Chris Golden wrote a beautiful post about Rick:

                              http://christophergolden.blogspot.ca...k-hautala.html

I haven't quite processed the news enough to write anything that would make sense.
