Any idea? CBR files are some kind of comic book file. That's all I know about them. Thx. I can find several readers when I google, but I don't know the sites and therefore don't trust the downloads. :)

Calibre may read them. It's free and works well for converting files which is all I use it for.

I'm not sure about one for the PC. They're pretty easy to find for tablets though. Also if you don't need all the special fuctionality that comes with a cbr reader cbr files are baisically zip files with a different name and can generally just open it with whatever archiving software you use and extract the images.

I would also recommend trying calibre-ebook.com/

I use it because we have both Kindle & Nook readers in our house, and calibre converts pretty much any format out there.
