Sounds amazing.

Sadly, that lettered really is out of my price range. No matter how much I want it!!

I went for the gift edition. The limited is a bit steep right now.

Got the email about this as well. Very tempting, I'll see how long I can resist.

As I have said else where in this forum I do not get this book.I tried and tried but it was not making cense to me.Now I find out it started out as a childrens book. This looks like a real nice edition but I am passing on it.

I tried reading in high school, but never finished it; probably got side tracked by something (other than lack of interest).

Got the signed limited via Subterranean Press as this is one limited edition I had to have. Weaveworld was one of my fave of Barker back when he was still a refreshing breath of creativity and originality in horror and dark fantasy. I did check in at Earthling's website for the Lettered edition but Greenelk is right, 1500 is too steep. And besides, the signed limited has all the same special feature contents and is also traycased. If it's an SK lettered edition at 1500 or 2000 (like the IT 25th Anniversary Lettered) I would rob and steal to raise the money for it though

But only because I found it on the CD website and I had a gift certificate.

I HAD a gift certificate. <sigh>

Did you blow it on this book?

peteOcha
05-02-2012, 10:52 AM
Nope. Blew it a few days ago. Had quite a lot left, but I got something I had been wanting for a long time with it:), then The Twelve was announced. Then I also grabbed something that should be in my hands pretty soon and boom!, bye bye certificate. And I just recently had purchased a $250 one during the half off sale, plus I had some balance on a previous certificate as well...

I think I still have $26 on the $500 one I bought. I've purchased $650 worth of CD CG's so far (for $325, of course!)

Hmm, don't remember my total in CD gift cards. The most recent one I had was the $250 for $125. Before I had the $1100 one for $500. I think I had one or two smaller ones as well maybe, at a discounted price of course. :)

Can anyone tell me what this book is about and is it good? Forgive my dumb questions but I just don't know anything about this book.

Was glad to see other people had trouble reading this one, I kept lapsing into a coma every time I picked it up. Never finished it which is extremely unusual for me. Boring to the max.

Weaveworld was the first Barker I ever read: I really liked it.

Still, I decided to pass on this one.

Sorry Brian. Sorry Dan. Only got the notification e-mail about this title from CD early today (Malaysian time). The Subterranean Press notification came in way earlier two days back so I ordered the signed numbered from them. If I'd have known CD also carried copies of this title from Earthling, I'd have ordered from you guys. :(

I'm still debating if I should get this one or not. I do want the signed/limited edition, but that way I'll never up my savings account...

Frik. I think the signed numbered has already sold out at CD. Only the unsigned gift edition remain last I check. They are still available though at Earthling's own website and Subterranean's.

Ok, it's not Weaveworld, but I thought somebody on here might share my excitement for this. I just got a lettered copy of The Hellbound Heart 20th Anniversary that comes with an original Barker sketch mounted in the traycase. Thought it was a pretty good deal since Earthling sold it for 650 in 2007 and I got it for 599 from a seller on AbeBooks. Lettered edition was only 26, and I haven't been able to find another one for sale anywhere, so I feel pretty lucky to have gotten my hands on this one. It's a beautiful book and presentation.

Are these still shipping? I bought the gift edition and I haven't even received an email shipping notice yet. It's been almost a month since other people started getting theirs.

If you ordered this from us, I do not believe we have received our copies from the publisher yet.

We should be getting the trade editions within the next week or two. The limited editions will be a bit longer as it isn't finished yet.

Is there any news about when you will be getting the numbered editions and/or when they might ship?

The Earthling Publisher, Paul, told me he's been shipping the signed and lettered copies over the last month or so to everybody. Mine are supposed to be on the way finally now, so I imagine CD's copies probably are now too or will be soon.

Clive Barker is one author I am really wanting to read. I have seen many of the movies he has been a part of, but have a feeling I'd really love reading his novels too.
