Dark Tower: The Wind Through The Keyhole - DMG Limited Editions in 2012

I just received the latest DMG newsletter. The Wind Through the Keyhole will be published in the spring of 2012, to be illustrated by Jae Lee.
    That's the good news!!
800 Copies will be signed by King. Ouch - that's the bad news. This will leave many people without a copy. I do hope Grant will allow first come, first serve....
Btw, there will be an artist edition as well, signed by Lee.

I am happy about this - sort of.....

Pulled this off of Donald M. Grant's website. Looks like those who had numbers 1-800 of LSOE will get first dibs on the limited of The Wind Through the Keyhole.

Oops. Before seeing this thread, I just started one in the "Other Publishers Books" subforum of the "Book Projects" forum.

Sorry about that. Feel free to merge at will, Mods.

My DT number was/is 1009 and I was so hoping for another signed/limited.
Of course there's always the secundary market, but I'll be paying through the nose....

Who knows, you could get lucky and be able to buy one from the publisher in the end. I bet there will be some collectors in the 1 to 800 range who just don't buy for whatever reason -- the economy, etc. Their loss could be your gain!

                  You may be right, Brian.
Maybe there will be a lottery for the unclaimed books.
Of course, there's always the AE, but the S/L will just have to join the other DT S/Ls.
The Gunslinger is the only one missing....so far...

I'm excited! Wizard & Glass was my favorite DT book, so I'm really looking forward to this one. Plus, I have #464, so I'm good for the S/L.

I was in high school when W&G came out. I had read my mom's Plume trade paperbacks of the previous books, of course. I was working at a Waldenbooks and we received 5 copies of the Grant edition of W&G -- I had never seen a book like it before and I was instantly hooked on the small press!

                        And mine.
King hit just the right note: a harrowing love story, amazing set-pieces, great action.
Some of his best story-telling ever.

Will this be King's last Dark Tower book? Can he really leave this world behind? If he does not write another Dark Tower book will other works continue to contain Dark Tower elements?

I'm hoping it is not the last book that has something to do with this world he has created. I for one miss those characters and will greatly enjoy having a new story to read with them. I might have to start reading the series again from the start and read this new one in between 4 and 5. We'll see though, as I have lots of books still to be read
