The CD Forum is getting some heavy traffic

Earlier tonight, Friday am for me, when I did a post there were 100 users online. There are still currently 93 users online. I personally have not seen such heavy traffic at the CD Forum.

    They're probably all bots.

Edit: In fact looking at it a little closer they are definitely all bots.

Just curious Dan. How do you tell they're bots?

As an admin I can see their ip address and some other information that goes along with that. The majority of them are coming from the same place, somewhere either in Europe or just with a ".eu" domain address associated with them.

They're usually just what's referred to as "web crawlers". These are bots who's job is to literally just collect as much information as possible from the internet. Usually for marketing / advertising purposes. There does seem to be a large number of them today though, mostly from the same place. There's also usually a few Google ones around. I can usually tell the spam bots apart from the web crawlers, because the spam bots are the ones that are usually trying to make posts.
