          I can't say that I'm the biggest Hemingway fan--my battle to get through For Whom the Bell Tolls is legendary in my house--but I love this quote. Beautiful and devastating.

                  Thanks, Mike. I've loved Bester's work since the early 80s, after reading an interview with him in Charles Platt's first Dream Makers book of interviews. What a spirit! Happy holidays to you.
